Please join us for the 7th annual Resource Fair

The fifth annual Empowering Irvine Families Resource Fair, an event created to help local families learn more about the services available for children with special needs, will be held from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on March 30, 2011 at the Irvine High School Main Gymnasium, 4321 Walnut Avenue, Irvine.

Hosted by the Irvine Unified School District’s Special Education Community Advisory Committee, and partnership with surrounding school districts, this family-oriented fair will feature dozens of vendors and local organizations that serve the Irvine community, along with school officials. The event is free and open to the public.

Vendors in the past have paid a fee for participation in the fair.  This year, to show support for all our vendors, we will be asking for an optional fifty-dollar donation per vendor for a table at the fair. This will insure that the difficult economic times do not impact the success of the fair or belittle the overall goal of providing a resource for Irvine families.  Vendors must register on this site otherwise space will not be provided.

·      All vendors must register by Wednesday, March 23rd.

DONATION INFORMATION:

All proceeds will benefit the Active Playground Support Program through the Irvine Public Schools Foundation (IPSF). IPSF is a 501(c)3 organization, a not for profit organization.

WHAT YOU GET:

• A  table to publicize your organization (6 feet by 2 ½ feet) (Depending on demand, individuals MAY be asked to share.)
• Listing in parent handout, “Irvine Families Resource Guide”
• Listing in Family Resource Web Site for 1 year (www.EmpoweringIrvine.org)
• Family Resource Web Site address included in resource sheet that’s distributed district-wide to all Irvine Unified School District special education parents and partnering districts.  (Currently Saddleback and Laguna Beach Districts will receive the Resource Listing.)
• Access to a targeted audience

WHAT YOUR ORGANIZATION WILL NEED TO PROVIDE:

• Your table may be decorated and organized in any manner as long as it does not interfere with other vendors or the flow of traffic.  Any items to be sold at your table must be pre-approved by the Resource Fair Committee.
• No electricity will be available.  Please prepare ahead.
• You will be required to leave the space as you found it.
• We encourage you to provide a child-friendly activity at your booth.

SCHEDULE FOR FAIR PARTICIPANTS:

• Set-up available between 5:00 and 5:45 pm
• All vendor automobiles must be moved to the fair side of the school parking lot by 5:45pm
• Fair hours 6:00 – 8:00pm
• Clean-up must be completed by 9:00pm
